Super Glue Fixes You May Not Have Considered Nov 17, 2015 by Cathy (Day Styles)

I don’t know about you but if you haven’t got a couple tubes of tried, tested, and true super glue in your cupboard, glove box, garage, coat pocket, and car emergency kit, you’re missing out. We all love “stuff,” and “stuff” breaks from time to time. Whether you lose a sparkly gem off your jeans on the way to your hot date, the handle breaks on your sons “Little Pony” lunchbox on the way to school, or a piece of your Verismo coffee maker busted off, super glue will save your bacon every time. It gives you a quick and often permanent fix for almost anything. Seriously, this glue is crazy powerful and meant to stick for good. In other words, make sure you read the instructions before use; they're there for good reason.

Repairing Tools

A broken handle on a hammer equals useless. But all you’ve got to do is put a couple dabs of super glue in strategic spots, and you’ve brought your hammer back from the dead. Some of these high-power adhesives will work on anything from screwdrivers and pliers, to grip wrenches, clamps, and saws.

Past Warranty Boots.

Bet you can relate to this one. You’ve bought a pair of boots that cost you a pretty penny, the warranty has just passed, and the sole has started to come off the bottom of your boot. Talk about frustrating. No worries when you’ve got crazy glue in your back pocket. All you need to do is make sure your boot is clean and dry and simply reattach the sole with your glue. Super glue works well to repair any of your shoes and boots. I’ve even replaced the heel on one of my favorite pair of spiked black pumps. Talk about a happy camper. A few dollars for the glue or $100 for another pair – A no-brainer decision.
