The 8 Craziest Pumpkin Spice-Flavored Foods

Sep 2, 2016 by Sarah (Day Styles)

Now that Starbucks has confirmed when the Pumpkin Spice Latte will make its return this fall, we were inspired to find the other autumnal delicacies imbued with pumpkin spice! Discover these outrageous uses for pumpkin spice that we’ve seen on the market.

Pumpkin Spice Kale Chips

Pumpkin spice kale chips were brought to market thanks to the food scientists over at Sprouts Organics. While these kale chips claim to be organic, we can’t help but wonder where the “pumpkin spice flavor” is coming from. We understand wanting to keep up with the times, but maybe, just maybe, this is pushing it a little bit?

Pumpkin Spice Eggnog

Eggnog is either one of those things that you love or you hate, and that’s no exception when it’s Halloween flavored. Lucerne Dairy Farms released this version of their eggnog and, unsurprisingly, it’s very sweet and has a slight alcoholic flavor. If you enjoy eggnog, we could see this being a hit, especially with a splash of brandy!

Pumpkin Pie Vodka

Pinnacle Vodka recently released their pumpkin pie flavored vodka, and it does taste pretty much exactly how it sounds. We aren’t exactly sure if people will actually find a use for this unique combination, or what drinks you could use this in besides possibly dairy-based mixes like a White Russian. Perhaps a delicious Christmas cocktail? Maybe it’s just one of those fun things to have sitting on your shelf for years?

Pumpkin Spiced Candy Corn

A sucker for candy corn? Now you can enjoy your favorite Halloween treat with a little added zing. We’ve read reviews, however, that the cinnamon flavor paired with the unique texture of the candy mimics a pumpkin-scented candle, but, if this is your favorite candy, who are we to judge? Give the people what they want.

Pumpkin Spice Coffee

Green Mountain Coffee put out pumpkin spice-flavored coffee pods, and they couldn’t smell more delicious if they tried. Everything about the scent screams “autumn,” but we were disappointed to discover that the scent and the flavor don’t match perfectly. You can’t really taste as much pumpkin spice as you’d expect. It’s still a great coffee choice, however, especially if you want to skip on the crowds at Starbucks!

Pumpkin Pie Clif Bars

Clif Bar hopped on the seasonal pumpkin spice bandwagon when they started selling a pumpkin pie protein bar. If you’ve ever had the Clif Carrot Cake bar, it’s very similar just with a pumpkin and cinnamon aftertaste. It’s not our favorite variety of the iconic sports bars, but we’re sure that it will attract a few devoted followers.

Pumpkin Spice Potato Chips

Boulder Canyon has released pumpkin spice-flavored kettle chips. They opted to make the entire chip pumpkin spice flavored rather than adding pumpkin spice seasoning to their chips. This gives them a uniquely sweet and interesting flavor for chips that we imagine some people may enjoy, but probably not many.

Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer

Coffee-Mate put out their Pumpkin Spice creamer, and the reviews are off the charts. It’s not too sweet and makes your coffee actually rival that of the classic Starbucks “PSL” - which is huge! It’s an easy way to add a little spice to your morning coffee that beats the line and is a lot more affordable.

Are you on board for everything “pumpkin spice,” or are you already counting the days till the frenzy is over? Either way, we’re in for the long haul now.
