Hollywood and the Pressure to be Skinny

Pretty tough these days to find any excess fat in Hollywood. And if you do, it usually doesn’t last long because at some point in time the “fat” star becomes another “skinny” star. Some stars are so thin they are seriously risking their health. The problem is many of these stars won’t fess up to exactly what they’ve got to do to get stick thin in Hollywood. They may laugh and boast about having great genes, or maybe they have a high metabolism that allows them to eat junk food and not gain an ounce; I say hogwash. The reality is if you’re going to stay super thin you’ve got to work at it and go to the extreme. Here are a few celeb diet secrets they don’t want you to know.

Extreme Personal Training

Personal trainer to the star Gunnar Peterson, who’s sculpted the fab bodies of Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie, says he’s had clients that train with him 3-4 days a week and still do their regular grueling workouts. However, they aren’t likely to let the world know how much sweat it takes to have a killer body. In one instance, the actress told the press she does yoga and hikes with her pooch to stay twig thin. The truth is there is more to it than yoga and hiking.

The Hard Boiled Egg Diet

Rumor has it that during the filming of Cold Mountain, there was an actress that would only eat boiled eggs; one in the morning and two when the day was done, that’s it. Not so wise, because if you don’t provide your body with at least enough calories to function, it will shut down and your metabolism slows because your body is in starvation mode. This actress isn’t alone because trainer to the stars David Kirsch says he had a client getting ready for the Oscars and all she was eating was 2 eggs a day. Luckily the trainer worked his magic and persuaded her to have a few almonds, protein shake, and some vitamins. You can’t build lean muscle to burn fat if you don’t give your body the nutrients to do it. The average adult needs a minimum of 1,200 calories per day to maintain their weight with zippo exercise. Otherwise, you’re climbing up the fat loss mountain with banana peels under your shoes.
