Audiences everywhere fell in love with Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine on “Seinfeld,” but she’s definitely not the first in her family to achieve worldwide success. He was born in Paris, France in 1932 and moved to the United States in 1940 with his mother after his parents’ divorce. He joined the Louis Dreyfus Group in 1965 where he’s stayed ever since. But it looks like his daughter didn’t fall too far from the tree, as Gerard Louis-Dreyfus was also the head of the Poetry Society of America from 1998 until 2008 and writes poetry when he’s not conducting high-end business deals and has been published in publications such as “The Hudson Review.”
Rooney Mara (born Patricia Rooney Mara) is an actress best known for her role as the main character in the “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” (US). Her great uncle is now the owner of the Steelers and the former United States Ambassador to Ireland. Her father is now the Vice President of Player Evaluation for the New York Giants. Her grandfather was the long-time co-owner of the Giants until his death in 1988 when her uncle took over that position. The Mara sisters actually have it built into their contract that if either NFL team make the Super Bowl, they take the week off to watch their teams compete!
